The MBA Global at a Glance
The MBA Global is a rigorous and internationally recognised Master of Business Administration designed for experienced professionals seeking career acceleration and values-based, strategic leadership capability. It is delivered through three nine-week blocks of immersive, on-campus learning that can be followed in any order and will help you:

After completion, you'll graduate with a Master of Business Administration Global, awarded by the Universiy of Derby (UK).
Curriculum Structure
The MBA Global is delivered across four nine-week blocks. The three on-campus blocks can be completed in any order, allowing students to begin in fall, winter, or spring. During their first block of study, students take the Research Methods module, which prepares them to develop a Dissertation or Social Impact Project throughout the program. This independent project is completed through guided off-campus study during the fourth and final block.

To apply for a Master of Business Administration, you'll need to complete an online application. Here is what you need to do:

- Proof of English proficiency - TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent

- Admission Requirements
To enroll in the Master in Business Administration - MBA Global you need:
- To be at least 21 years old.
- A recognized bachelor's honors degree, or a professional qualification of equivalent standing.
- English language proficiency of IELTS academic module 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each component) or TOEFL iBT 60 or equivalent. If you don't meet the required English level, you can improve your language and study skills with our English Foundation Program. Please note that if you require a visa, Swiss authorities need to be provided with a valid TOEFL or IELTS score (not older than one year).

Do I need prior experience in the hospitality industry to enroll?
No, prior experience in the hospitality industry is not required to enroll in the Master of Business Administration program as long as you have a recognized bachelor's degree in any discipline.
Are there any scholarships or financial aid options available?
SHMS offers scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. It's recommended to apply early, as there are limited scholarships available each year.
Can I defer my admission to a later semester?
It depends. Please consult your agent or academic advisor or see about direct entry.
Can I study the program part-time while working?
The MBA Global offered by SHMS is a full-time program over 36 weeks (4 blocks of 9 weeks each), so there's no part-time option.
