Caux Campus

Located in the historic Caux Palace, the Swiss Hotel Management School Caux campus welcomes all first and second year bachelor students, along with postgraduate and master’s students from specific programmes suited to the fantastic food and beverage facilities on campus. Set in a mountain location overlooking the spectacular Lake Geneva, it is a short train ride from the lively city of Montreux.

Historic Palace Hotel

As a historic building, the Caux Palace offers an inspiring environment in which to study, steeped in the heritage of Swiss hospitality traditions. This unique campus offers modern facilities and is equipped with the latest technology to aid students in their studies. Caux is located in the french-speaking area of Switzerland and is an hour and twenty minutes from Geneva airport, easily accessible by car or train.

Food and Drink

Full board is provided throughout the week and is included in the fees. Three meals are served from Monday to Friday with brunch and dinner on weekends. Students have the choice of eating in any of the food outlets on campus:

The main buffet restaurant on campus serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A traditional fine-dining restaurant from an a-la-carte menu for lunch and dinner. Students apply food and beverage theory they have learned and practise service skills in this restaurant.

Restaurant for students, open for lunch, from Mondays to Fridays.

Coffee Beans Lounge Bar

Coffee Beans

Run by student in-house trainees, students can purchase a coffee, snacks or warm dishes from early morning until late in the evening.

The students’ bar and night club, open until late on weekends.


All accommodation is designed to offer students the comfort and privacy needed for study or to simply relax. Bedrooms are spacious, modern and comfortable; all are non-smoking. Accommodation is located in the main campus building and also in external buildings, all within walking distance.

Bed Linen and Towels

Bed linen and towels are provided for all room categories. Towels are changed once a week by the housekeeping department. Bed linen is changed every two weeks or upon request.


A fully equipped laundry is available in all student accommodation buildings. These facilities are card operated. Cards are available to purchase at the reception.


The housekeeping department cleans rooms weekly.

Luggage Room

A luggage room is available in the school for students to store their luggage during the internship period if required.
