Swiss Diploma, Swiss Higher Diploma and BA Degree
Hospitality - Restaurant - Events
The intensive programmes at SHMS are designed to challenge students and are focused on Swiss practical hospitality expertise combined with international management competencies.
All students in our main programme complete a Swiss Diploma in Hotel Operations Management during their first 2 years of study.
Students who continue to third year have the option to obtain a Swiss Higher Diploma followed by a BA (Hons) Degree in one of the following options:
- Hospitality Management
- Hospitality & Events Management
- Events Management
SHMS students have the opportunity to gain 5 different internationally recognised qualifications in 3 years:
a) 2 years: Swiss Diploma in Hotel Operations Management
b) 2.5 years: Swiss Higher Diploma in
c) The American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) Diploma in Hospitality Management (optional)
d) 3 years: Swiss BA (Hons) Degree and British BA (Hons) Degree from the University of Derby in
Five different qualifications and two work reference letters from internships in Switzerland or abroad give SHMS graduates a unique competitive advantage when applying for employment upon graduation.
