Entry Requirements - SHMS

First year – Undergraduate Programme

High School Diploma or equivalent
English level equivalent to TOEFL 500, IELTS 5.0 or 50 points on the Oxford Online Placement Test.*
Minimum age: 17 years

(Please note that students must be 18 years old to commence their industry internship. Students who have not attained this age will be required to complete a second academic term at SHMS before commencing their internship placement.)

Second or third year – Undergraduate Programme

Direct entries into second or third year may be possible for students who hold appropriate academic qualifications in Hospitality. Please contact us for further information.

Final term (BA) – Undergraduate Programme

Applicants should hold a Higher Diploma in a relevant subject
English level equivalent to TOEFL 525 or IELTS 5.5

Postgraduate Diploma Programme (PGD)

Bachelor Degree in any discipline OR at least 3 years work experience in a supervisory position in any industry.
English level equivalent to TOEFL 500, IELTS 5.0 or 50 points on the Oxford Online placement test.*

Master's Programmes

MA & online MA in International Hospitality Management

Bachelor Degree in a related discipline AND at least 8 months relevant work experience
English level equivalent to TOEFL 550, IELTS 6.0 or 70 points on the Oxford Online Placement test.*
Mature applicants with over 5 years supervisory work experience, may be considered without higher qualifications.

MIB

Successful completion of an SHMS Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent
Undergraduate Degree in Hotel Management or related discipline
English level equivalent to TOEFL 525, IELTS 5.5 or 60 points on the Oxford Online Placement test.*

(Applications for direct entry will be examined for students with other relevant qualifications)
