Swiss Quality: Member of ASEH since 1992
In 1992 the Swiss Hotel Schools Association (ASEH) recognized the quality of the programmes offered at SHMS and granted full accreditation. ASEH conducts regular reviews of programmes and facilities to ensure this ongoing quality.
University of Derby: 2004, partnership with University of Derby, UK.
Graduates of the BA (Hons) and MA Programmes at SHMS receive both Swiss and British awards. The BA (Hons) and MA degrees are awarded by the University of Derby, a leading university in the fields of hospitality and tourism. (http://derby.ac.uk).
AH&LA Certification:
In recognition of the increasing global demand for Swiss Hospitality education and to ensure the global relevance of its curriculum, SHMS has a license to deliver the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) diploma.
Industry Placements:
An important element of the SHMS programme, students are required to complete two internships of a minimum of four months each in order to advance to the higher diploma and bachelor level.
