Virgilio Santos - Director of OperationsWith over 20 years of operations management experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Santos joined the team at SHMS in 2012. He brings with him an operations management background that is Swiss made, starting from Wengen and further developed across Europe and Asia. With a focus on strategic and practical solutions, Mr. Santos has shepherded operations in F&B, hotels and resorts, both small and large.
Holding a Post Graduate Degree in Hotel Management from the EHTA, his enduring strengths lie in inspiring and leading people to greater performance.
Renato Balane - Food & Beverage Manager
Renato joined the SHMS team in 2010 bringing with him many years of experience in food and beverage management, bar, banqueting and restaurant management. Renato began his career in the hospitality industry in London where he worked for the Marriot Hotel, managed the restaurant in the Rembrandt Hotel and most recently worked as the Operations manager for the Red Carnation Group. Renato is passionate about the F & B industry and enjoys sharing his experience with the students of SHMS.
