Another positive sign for hospitality graduates

Graduates and students of SHMS can rest assured that their future looks bright in the ever-growing world of hospitality.  According to the latest global data from “The Pegasus View,” business and travel revenue rose by over 40% compared with January 2010 and revenue from leisure travel was up by 15%.

For SHMS students this means that the industry continues to search for well-trained executives to fill vital roles within the sector.  With their training that combines practical and theoretical elements, SHMS students are well prepared to take on the challenges of life in the ever-growing hospitality industry.

The Pegasus report goes on to explain that the increase in business travel revenue has been a direct result of increased corporate travel.  Companies in many countries are feeling a return to a competitive market and are sending their sales teams back on the road, driving a healthy revenue raise in the hospitality sector.  The report forecasts continued growth in 2011 based on advance bookings throughout the spring and summer period.
