International Day, A Celebration of Culture, Diversity and Friendship

The inaugural SHMS “World of Hospitality” held at the Leysin campus was a fantastic success with over 200 guests enjoying a fantastic palate of activities and entertainment.  

A student run event, the “World of Hospitality” is an opportunity for students to show industry guests, local residents and other invitees the skills of their chosen career.

Under the guidance of Ms Kathryn Scott a team of 3rd year and PGD Events students took on the role of organizing the event.  For the students it has been a mammoth task, but a fantastic learning experience as they were able to put into practice the theoretical knowledge they have gained in their studies.

Guests were encouraged to explore the campus and to experience all of the activities that were on offer including, wine and cheese tasting, chocolate making, sushi making, housekeeping demonstrations, cocktail making and campus tours.  Not forgetting the fabulous food and live entertainment that was provided in the grand hall.

The first “SHMS World of Hospitality” was a great success
