Kirill Kossinski

At SHMS the most important lesson that I learned and a skill that I apply to my work each day is to be hospitable. SHMS also introduced me to the multi-cultural world of hospitality and helped me to find the part of the industry that is my true passion, F&B.

After graduating with a BA in Hospitality and Events Management, I joined the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai as an F&B Management trainee.  I was promoted to Assistant Restaurant Manager after just six months and am really proud to already be in charge of a successful restaurant with more than twenty team members.

Students who are considering hospitality should make sure that their studies include internships and practical exposure where they will learn about the industry from an employee perspective.  Do your internships where you can learn another language and choose a prestigious location or brand that delivers a high-quality experience.  Try to go abroad to somewhere you have never been before.

Most importantly, don’t forget to follow your dreams!
